Corporate Officer
As an officer of the company my primary responsibility
is to generate a return on the money entrusted to the company by the
investors. I run every decision that I make through this filter before
implementing plans, policies or strategies. In the case of a private
company: "Does this action bring us closer to an exit?" and for a public
company: "Does this action add value to this company?" I have other
responsibilities too - my department, my people, my customers and even
my vendors and other assorted stakeholders, but the investor is king.
Investment
I have been through the seed investment process, through
two successful venture capital investment rounds - one with an
investment bank and one without, and through one IPO. The IPO was by far
the most exciting event; watching the 8x8 ticker symbol go live from the
trading floor at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco was one of the
most memorable days of my life. I can help you to get to that place in
your company's development.
VCs that I have worked with:
Elron, Needham, Newlight Partners, Parker-Price, UMC
Ventures, Vantage Point, Wasserstein and over 50 other venture
investment companies who declined to invest, but with whom I maintain
contact.
I can help you in your search for additional funding. I
can provide strategy and corporate positioning to form an attractive
investment prospect, create business plans and compelling investor
presentations, line up meetings and make introductions to key Silicon
Valley VCs and start-up resources.
